How many teams are there in the club?
The club fields two ladies teams in the Leinster League. There is also a large and active Junior section with teams ranging from First Class to 4th year. We fielded our first Vets team in 2023, now playing in the Leinster Vets league.
Are all levels of playing ability catered for?
Players of all abilities are welcome at Malahide Hockey Club. Training focuses on both fitness and skill and even the most experienced hockey player can learn a new trick or two!
How do I join?
For the Senior section simply by coming along to any of our training sessions. Training takes place every Monday and Thursday from 7.30pm – 9.00pm at the pitch at Broomfield (opposite Malahide Community School). Make yourself known to our coach (they’ll be the one with the whistle) and then join in. Or you can contact Club Captain Niamh on 085-7315711

What should I bring?
For training, any leisurewear is suitable and for safety reasons, shinguards and a gumshield should also be worn. Astroturf runners or any other running shoes (apart from studs/mouldies football boots) are suitable.

What about social events?
Of Course! To start the season off, the first night of pre-season training is an informal ‘Meet & Greet‘ session. Off the pitch, the club celebrates both the Christmas break and the end of the season with a big social event, as well as hosting fundraisers during the year.

The Junior Section also do many event in the year including Ice-Skating at Christmas and a Fun day at the end of the season.

The whole Club also makes use of our location by doin a Christmas Swim every year
